Gia Sharp Design.

Based in Brooklyn, New York, Gia Sharp Design specializes in residential interior design, providing a range of customized services, from large-scale project design and management to consultation on single-room updates. On every project, GSD founder Gia Sharp tailors her interior design to fit her clients’ needs, for one-of-a-kind results. Inspired by her education and early career in the fashion industry, Gia brings an ease and fluency with color, pattern, and texture to her work, and adds unique character with vintage, artisanal, and bespoke elements. Her portfolio includes projects for clients with a wide range of budgets and life stages, from young families to empty nesters.

Gia Sharp.

Gia Sharp’s first love was fashion; she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University’s art school with a BFA in Fashion Merchandising. But even as a college student, Gia began turning her skills to the spaces around her. After graduation, she moved to New York and began her fashion career at Calvin Klein—and soon began taking on small interior design projects on the side. As her passion for interiors grew, Gia shifted her career path, gaining valuable experience with stints at interior design firms including Tamara Eaton Design and Brooklyn-based furniture brand Uhuru Design.

Buoyed by positive client reviews, her own enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, and a firm belief that “everyone deserves good design,” Gia launched Gia Sharp Design in 2018. On every interior design project she undertakes, Gia strives for a deep understanding of her clients to create their perfect balance of high-style and practicality. Her years of project management experience make Gia an expert organizer and planner, attributes that help keep her projects running smoothly.

Although she does not impose her own colorful, eclectic style on her clients’ spaces, Gia does bring her empathetic personality to her projects. As a multifaceted woman of color, mother, wife, human rights advocate, art lover, and much more, she understands her clients’ complex and busy lives and takes great joy in helping them find their own design voice through close collaboration.

Gia Sharp lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and two boys. Her current projects include a starter-home bachelor pad in New Jersey, a colorful kitchen remodel in Brooklyn’s Park Slope, and (slowly) renovating her own 100-year-old home.
